York look to be favourites to retain their Hirepoint Plant & Tool Hire Under-15 Championship zone ‘A’ title.
They maintained their unbeaten passage into the play-offs with a big win over Selby as Charlie Atkin, with 3-16, and Tom Backhouse, with 3-9, skittled Selby for just 41.
York made 183-0 led by knocks of 52 from both Ted Patmore and Kieran Bloor and 50 by Richard Brown.
Harry Sutcliffe hit 50 not out as Sheriff Hutton Bridge posted 111-8 against Dunnington, for whom Alex Wilson took 3-11. Dunnington were then rolled over for 66.
Malton & Old Malton and Londesborough Park qualified for the zone ‘B’ play-offs with wins taking them clear of third-placed Ovington.
Malton saw off Stamford Bridge with Matthew Watson making 50 not out and Josh Berry 37 not out in a 155-6 total. Kieran Windress took 4-2 to smother the Stamford reply.
Londesborough Park closed on 127-3 against Ovington, with Nathan Saltmer ending 51 not out and Ben Shingles hitting 37. Lewis Medley took 3-10 as Ovington were bowled out for 85.
