Visitors Heworth got the better of Quality Solicitors Burn & Company Under-11s Championship division one rivals Pocklington with a 21-run win.

Heworth’s Will Rowntree hit 11 and Jack Wilkinson chipped in with 18 not out, while Tom Kirby posted 3-10 for Pock.

Second-placed Sheriff Hutton Bridge’s win over Malton & Old Malton featured several key performances.

Issac Giannini (16no), Edward Ramsden (15no), plus Theo Smerdon, Tom Tom Scott Masson, Harry Loseby and Josh Mould all reached double figures.

George Ramsden took 3-6, backed by double-wicket hauls for Edward Ramsden (2-3), Oliver Pettigrew (2-6) and Alex Chalton (2-8).

Unbeaten division two leaders Woodhouse Grange made it six wins from six with a comfortable beating of Heworth ‘B’.

Dan Durkin made 27 with Tom Burdett 15, Luke Race 13 and Harry Matthews 13. Matthews (4-0) and Race (2-4), accompanied by Josh Matthews (2-7), made batting difficult for Heworth, with only Lewis Meek (19) to come to terms with the attack.

Yapham triumphed in a close tussle against visitors Clifton Alliance.

Yapham aces were C Buckle (18), H Jones (13no and 2-2), J Cardy (12 and 2-14), A Boyce (10) and E Cardy (0-3). For Alliance J Baker top-scored with 11 not out and there were wickets for D Stephenson (2-12), J Hodge (1-13) and J Boyes (1-5).

Tadcaster Magnets’ win over York puts them top of the U11 Development League zone ‘A’.

Miles Buckle and Mani Denobriga both hit 17 not out and Cameron MacKay 15 not out in the Magnets’ score. Connor Dawson then chipped in with 1-1, backed by 1-11 from Riley Van De Berg and 1-12 from Nathan Greyvanstein, to restrict the York batsmen, with M Wilkinson scoring 21.

North Duffield had the extras given away by hosts Londesborough Park to thank for their close zone ‘B’ success, together with some economical bowling from Molly Richardson, who took 1-5, Josh Dickinson 1-12 and Harvey Johnson 2-24. For Park, Tim Weston made ten, while Thomas Clegg took 2-6 and Nathan Gregory 1-2.

Bolton Percy reached the final of the U11 IB Cup with a four-run win over near neighbours Tadcaster Magnets.

Ben Gibbs took 2-11, Angus Harte 1-4 and F Roberts 1-6 in an accurate Percy attack. For Magnets, Mani Denobriga made 31 not out, while wickets went to Connor Dawson (1-1), Joshua Burlingham (1-1) and Katie Burton (1-13).
