THE power of ten was harnessed by Rawcliffe, who aced Acomb 10-0 in the York FA Under-19s Football League.

Chief tormentor of Acomb was Reuben Young with four goals, followed by efforts from Oscar Massey (2), Josh Bean, Kieron Nelson, Ash Walker and Jack Torrance.

Haxby beat hosts Fulford 5-0 capped by a Dan Clipston hat-trick, including a great overhead kick to complete the triple feat. George Rhodes and Harry Moorcroft completed the scoring.

Table-toppers Dringhouses, who play Rawcliffe in the league tomorrow, will have to wait to be presented with the championship trophy.

The silverware will be paraded at the York FA U19s Cup final at Tockwith on Monday, May 4 (1.30pm), when Houses again take on Rawcliffe.

If the title-winners remain undefeated that will complete two successive seasons in which they have not lost.

Meanwhile, two Haxby U19 players - Matty Day and Tom Barnes - will feature for the North Riding U18s team who tackle Durham in the northern championship semi-final at Stokesley on Tuesday, kick-off 7.30pm.

The North Riding ranks will be protecting a maximum record of six consecutive wins this season.
