SEVEN-UP Thorpe United Under-16s racked up their biggest win of the Garforth Junior Football League division one campaign at Castleford.
The opening goal in the 7-0 win came when Jordan Emery and David Melling linked up in midfield to create space for Richard Buckthorpe to net.
Moments later Corey Littlefield whipped in a dangerous ball for Melling, who scored at the back post.
Man of the match James Arnold crossed for Emery to make it 3-0 before half-time.
Thorpe keeper Alex Ward made a couple of saves early in the second half, but then Littlefield bundled the ball over the line after another cross from Arnold.
Arnold tested the keeper from distance and forced a corner, with Littlefield nodding in at the back post from Jamie Pickles’ delivery.
Melling got Thorpe’s sixth after Szymon Czubik flicked on a Buckthorpe throw before Ward’s long clearance found Czubik and he headed past the keeper.
