YORK Mitchell Football League outfit Wigginton Grasshoppers under-eights enjoyed a great day’s hospitality from Championship outfit Sheffield Wednesday.
A total of 19 of the Grasshoppers’ squad toured Wednesday’s Hillsborough ground, had a training session from the Owls’ staff and bagged tickets for the clash against Fulham.
They were flag-bearers as the teams entered and were also introduced to the crowd at half-time.
Said player James Potter: “We had a great fun, one day I’d like to be a footballer.
And team-mate Johnny Humphrey added: “I was really nervous going on the pitch, but it was really exciting.”
