NEWLY-FORMED Huntington FC Under-14s are celebrating a successful debut campaign.
The team are playing in division three of the York Motorsport Village Minor League and reached the semi-finals of the York FA Under-14s Intermediate (Junior) Minor Cup.
Huntington lost 14-2 to division two side Haxby Town in the last four, with Euan Surgenor netting from the spot before Tom Free bagged his 40th goal of the season.
Manager Jim Surgenor said: "We are a new team this season in division three and got to the semi-final of the cup in our first season, which is a great achievement in itself.
"We played a very strong Haxby team from the the division above and are unbeaten in their division and we lost 14-2."
He added: "Myself, the coaches and the boys would like to thank Corrina Eadie from York Party Events for our new kit and also Rowntrees for buying us a second strip. It is very much appreciated."
