ELLIOT HEATH struck four times as York Schoolboys under-11s enjoyed a 6-1 victory over Sheffield in the first round of the Green ’Un Cup.
Midfielder Joe Watt also bagged a brace as Heath shared the man-of-the-match honours with Harry Tinker.
After only five minutes, Heath latched on to a loose defensive pass after and smashed the ball into the top corner to open the scoring.
Heath went on to complete a fine hat-trick within the first 20 minutes and a well-taken Watt goal saw York lead 4-0 up at the interval.
Midfielders Tinker, Jack Hughes and Oliver Kilvington dominated proceedings during an outstanding opening period from York while, defensively, Will Hollings, Isaac Meehan, George Turbine and Dan Tingle disrupted all Sheffield attacks.
After the restart, York striker Oliver Walsh went close twice during the first 20 minutes before Watt netted his second.
Sheffield got their consolation with five minutes left following a close-range effort that beat the Minstermites’ keeper Todd Edgar but there was still time for Heath to grab his fourth goal.
