AFTER topping the regional league table, Easingwold School’s equestrian team enjoyed more success at an event at Bishop Burton College.

Olivia Snarr came second, Megan Stephenson was fifth and Jessica Barker sixth in the 70-centimetres class of the show-jumping.

In the 80cm class, the team consisting of Snarr, Leah Cooper and Holly Clayden were second, while the school’s other team of Lily Thorpe, Jessica Barker, Amy Davies and Amelia Brennan-Vaccaro finished third. Individually, Cooper was second and Megan Farrington sixth.

In the 90cm class, the team consisting of Thorpe, Serena Leighton, Brennan-Vaccaro and Zoe Davies jumped to first place, while on the solo front Brennan-Vaccaro took second spot, Thorpe fourth and Clayden sixth.

Leighton was also second in the one-metre class.

The next day was the JWS - jumping with style - event, a mixture of show jumps and cross country fences.

Barker was fourth in the 70cm category, while in the 80cm class the team of Amelia Brown, Amelia du Boulay, Snarr and Claudia Yorke were second to qualify for the national finals to be held at the end of this month.
