WIGGINTON and Appleton Roebuck will next week do battle for the division three title in the Fulford Ladies Invitation Tennis League.

Dunnington pulled two points clear of David Lloyd at the top of division four after Alex McHenry and Joyce Rhodes won 28 games in a 77-31 win over Riccall.

Appleton Roebuck beat Sheriff Hutton 55-53 in division five and they now need to win their last match at Dunnington to avoid the drop.

Sutton-on-Derwent are finishing with a flourish. Their 75-33 win over New Earswick was their third in a row, with Anna Fell and Lucy Collier winning 30 games.

Gerry Screeton and Michele Helm bagged three wins but their Wilberfoss side went down to promoted Stamford Bridge.

Knaresborough lost 56-52 to division two leaders Bishopthorpe and they now need a result against Tadcaster to pip Fulford to promotion.

Pocklington are facing relegation from division one after losing their latest fixture against Castlegarth 70-38.
