James Silson and Belinda Turnbull top-scored at Rufforth, just outscoring brother and sister duo Nick and Bex Turnbull.

In division three, three teams are in a battle for the two promotion places. Bishopthorpe’s James Field and Laura Rhodes had a vital 11-1 result to seal a win at Stillington to stay in second place.

Sherburn’s Tristan Gretton and Sue Hudson helped their side to take the runners-up spot in division four after a win at David Lloyd.

Dunnington’s Mike Taylor and Nicola Loten top-scored at Wilberfoss, just ahead of Kevin Todd and Denise Bolam.

Riccall are runners-up in division five after winning their final match at Bishopthorpe to edge out rivals Wetherby, who ended with wins over Rowntree Park and Cawood.

Dave Rogers and Sandra Robinson were unbeaten for Park but ended up on the losing side, going down to champions York.

David Luscombe and Emma Robertshaw ensured Appleton Roebuck took the division six crown with wins against Dunnington and Alne.
