DAVID LLOYD finally got their hands on the division one trophy after 11 years when they hosted the Tyke Petroleum Men’s Tennis League presentation evening.
The champions cup was presented to David Lloyd’s Jamie Preston by Derek Boorman, the league sponsor.
The twin level two champions, Copmanthorpe, of division two, and York, of division three, will both be returning to the top flight – Copmanthorpe for the first time since 2007, and York after only one season away.
Harlow won their fourth trophy in their fourth season in the league, taking the division four shield this year and promotion to division two. The presentation evening also included the annual general meeting, which saw a new chairman elected, with David Moore, of Bishopthorpe Tennis Club, taking the role.
Clubs also voted to retain the 12-point scoring system.
