Tennis: York avoid relegation
YORK Tennis Club’s men’s team have kept their place in division one of the Yorkshire League, despite losing their last two matches of the season.
York went down 6-3 at Thongsbridge and 6-1 at Ilkley, but ended the campaign with a record of three wins and five defeats which was enough to keep them in the top flight after being promoted last year.
