YORK Tennis Club men’s team ousted Yorkshire League division one visitors Doncaster 5-4 – a result that should keep them in the top tier.
Andrew Cooke and Angus Smith won three rubbers for York, while Nick Turnbull and Paul Chappell won two.
With three wins and as many defeats, York have Thongsbridge and Ilkley still to play.
