ALL six teams from Rufforth Netball Club tasted victory in what proved to be a record week for the York and District League outfit.

The Fasers team, captained by Janet Ivel and newly-formed this season because of the number of new netball recruits, kicked matters off in fine fashion by beating York RI 4 22-12.

The Exocets showed why they have the top slot in division six following a rampant 50-10 victory over York St John's in a friendly encounter.

Rufforth Bullets solidified their position at the top of division three by defeating BSA B' 33-23.

Jody Ivel and Beth Telfer, both 15 and former junior players, are at the forefront of the Canons team which, with centre court held together by captain Emma Daythan, Nikki Smith and Clare Hildreth, is also performing well.

Following a poor start, the D' team seem to have turned a corner - and recorded their second successive win - after beating Easingwold 43-29 under the leadership of captain Rachel Vasey.

The final match of the week saw the Arrows take a convincing division one win over York RI 2.

Shooters Beth Penhaligan and Rhia Williams just missed out on the magic 60-goal target in a 59-21 triumph.

Rufforth teams play at the sports ground in Rufforth on a Tuesday and Wednesday evening between 7pm and 9.30pm depending on fixtures.
