HOME discomfort rocked City of York Ladies first XI who were downed 2-0 by visiting Longridge in the North League first division.
Longridge capitalised on a passing mistake to break upfield and score.
That shook York up and crisper passing conjured a flurry of chances, though none were taken.
And, on the counter. Longridge always threatened – York ’keeper Dawn Hopkins saving a penalty flick.
Her Longridge opposite number was exercised more after the break, but despite the eager search for a leveller the hosts succumbed to a second goal from the visitors.
