CITY of York HC ladies II toppled Leeds III 4-2 in the Yorkshire League premier division.

The win was graced by a hat-trick from Celia Wright, who scored her first in the opening two minutes, though Leeds equalised soon after.

Strong defending from sweeper Lauren Boddison created the next chance for York finished by Wright to lead 2-1 at half-time.

York came out strong after half-time with a great pass from Vicky Skilton in the D to Wright who scored with ease flicking the ball over the goalkeeper to complete her triple treat and claim the match award as best performer.

Rachel Navin seized on a rebound to add the fourth before Leeds replied with a consolation penalty in the closing minute.

Goalkeeper Leeha Cox kept a clean sheet on her debut for City of York ladies III as they drew 0-0 at Otliensians I in Yorkshire League division two.

City of York ladies IV battered Batley I 5-0 in division four with the plunder shared between Rachel Witherick (2), Ginette Skelton, Liz Armitage and Lynn Bowes.
