Hockey: Acomb Ladies shaken up by Wakefield hosts
Acomb Ladies lost 2-0 at Wakefield Wanderers in Yorkshire League division two.
The Tangerines prised open half-chances for skipper Kerry Woods as Rachel Linfoot, Paula Ridge and Georgi Wood worked tirelessly in midfield.
Caroline Beavers, Jane Elsworth and Sally Fairweather stuck hard to defensive duties but could not prevent a goal in each half.
