FREE-SCORING Acomb Hockey Club men’s first XI revelled in an 11-2 Yorkshire League division four north win over Ben Rhydding V with no fewer than eight different scorers.

The Tangerines opened the scoring through Harry Ellis after only 15 seconds with only three players touching the ball from the initial push back.

Nick Linfoot doubled the lead in the fifth minute and Ellis secured his second before Ryan Forster and Dave Richardson struck either side of a Harrogate reply for a 5-1 interval lead.
