SIMON DYSON'S bid for a record-breaking fourth KLM Open crown remained on an even keel after the first round.
Dyson started rockily with a double-bogey five on the par-three 11th hole - he started on the tenth hole.
But on his inward nine he ensured a par-70 finish with birdies on the fifth and seventh holes at the Kennemer course in Vandvoort.
The York-born ace is a previous winner of the KLM Trophy in 2006, 2009 and 2011.
