YORK City footballers past and present got into the swing of things at the Minstermen’s York City Football Club Official Golf Day.

Held on Monday at Forest Park Golf Club, in Stockton-on-the-forest, some 22 teams took part in the event, now in its second year.

Golfers shared the course with City legends Andy McMillan, Nigel Pepper, Richard Cresswell, former players Darren Kelly and Kevan Smith and current striker Michael Coulson. Also in attendance was former Blackburn Rovers, Huddersfield Town and Darlington striker Kevin Stonehouse.

Played out under blue skies and brilliant sunshine, the golf day was sponsored by 659 659 Taxis of York and saw a number of team and individual prizes up for grabs.

On arrival, players enjoyed a bacon roll and refreshments before starting their round, with a presentation dinner and memorabilia auction bringing the curtain down on what was a memorable day. The competition was won by Four Of A Kind.
