New Earswick gave themselves a good chance of Yorkshire Over-55s division two promotion after bagging a maximum 18 points from their 111-57 victory against bottom club North Cave Maroon.
At home, the rink led by Barry Johnson.
scored 12 shots over the last four ends to win 36-14. Barry Harrison’s surged 19-2 up after nine ends to triumph 28-11.
Away, Terry Shepherdson’s side led 21-3 after 11 only to wobble before eventually winning 29-17.
Mick Head’s team also had to fend off a late rally. Leading 18-8 with six ends to play, they won 18-15.
New Earswick trail second-placed Hornsea by 17 points but have a game in hand.
