David Dale wins York Amateur Bowling Association’s veterans title

DAVID DALE beat Alan Yoward to win the York Amateur Bowling Association’s veterans Lord Mayor’s two-wood singles title.
Dale won a re-arranged final 21-9 after the initial attempt was washed out by rain after only two ends.
In the semi-finals, Yoward beat Alan Robinson 15-6 and Dale ousted Terry Shepherdson 15-8.
RI Corinthians lifted the Maddison Cup after beating Bootham ‘A’ 21-15 in the final, while the Coronation Cup went to Shipton after their 20-10 victory over Nestlé ‘A’ in the final.
Ray Shippey presented the cups to the winning teams.
