WIGGINTON'S week started in fine style with a maximum eight-point 76-48 win at home to Heslerton in the BataGas Triples League.

The victories for skips Dave Imeson (19-10), Bruce Dobson (18-11), Gary and Jane Stockton (19-16) and (20-11) moving them to third place in the table.

They also had an eight-point (68-52) win at Huby in the Huby Triples League, thanks to skips Tony Baker (12-11), Eric Moon (21-5 ) and David Moorhouse (26-11).

However, they dropped to fourth after a 78-56 defeat at Harome, with only one winning rink from skip Colin Ellis (27-8).

In the Ryedale Veteran's League, Wigginton 'A' had an impressive seven-point win at Kirkbymoorside, with successes for skips Ellis (17-11) and Michael Wadsworth (24-15), plus a drawn rink from Tony Baker.

Wigginton 'B' were whitewashed at home to Easingwold 'A', losing all ten points.

In the YABA Veteran's League, Ellis' 'A' team drew 14-14 at Shipton, while Dave Imeson's 'B' team won 27-8 at Osbaldwick 'A', but Michael Barlow's 'D' team lost 25-10 at Dunnington 'A' putting them in the division four relegation zone.

In the Tockwith League, Wigginton secured an honourable draw and four points at Shipton, and the Private Clubs teams continued their winning ways with the 'B' beating Church Fenton and Riccall.

The 'A' team secured six points at home to Strensall.
