York IBC beat leaders Redcar 90-75 in the Yorkshire Ladies League but remain in third place four points off the top.
At home, Carol Instone’s side had a comfortable 34-13 victory, scoring five fours.
Sue Allen’s team were 7-6 behind after eight ends before scoring ten shots over four. They dropped six shots over the next two, but eventually secured a 22-17 success.
Away, Linda Harrison’s side overturned a 12-5 deficit into a 15-12 advantage between the 11th and 14th ends.
They led 16-15 with four ends to play but dropped singles on each and lost 19-16.
Melanie Brooke’s side found it tough and lost 26-17 despite winning three of the last five ends.
York’s last match is against bottom-placed Harrogate, while table-toppers Redcar face North Cave.
