A TOTAL of 414 runners competed in the Thirsk & Sowerby Harriers Jolly Holly Jog 10k in and around Studley Park.

Julian Norton led the way for the club, finishing a fine eighth in 38 minutes and 36 seconds.

Brett Edgeworth was next, 83rd in 45:44, with Keziah Paxton, first lady club finisher, 163rd in 51:03, and Alan Harman 181st in 52:18.

In his first club outing, Tom Calvert finished 216th in 54:25 with mum Alison just a few places behind, 219th in 54:32.
