TWO dozen Thirsk and Sowerby Harriers competed in a Nidd Valley fixture with Rob Burn leading the Harrier contingent.

Burn clocked 36 minutes and 36 seconds to come home in 76th place out of a 366-strong field followed by club-mates Matt Jones, who was 103rd in 38.07, Hester Cox 115th in 38.22, Charlotte Knowles, 125th in 38.55, Graham Robinson 126th in 39.03, Sarah Glover 151st in 40.24, David Fawkes 161st in 41.01, Marc Davies 168th in 41.26, Peter Richardson 171st in 41.29, David Shorrocks 174th in 41.38, Martin Cummins 197th in 43.00, Geoff Bullock 233rd in 44.28, Steve Scott 236th in 44.30, Louise Knowles 271st in 46.46, Julie Forster 287th in 47.59, Christine Burn 325th in 51.23, Andrea Almack 329th in 51.37, Clare Goacher 330th in 52.07, Nigel Morgan 343rd in 53.43, Joanne Richardson 345th in 54.47, Jane Cummins 351st in 56.16, Sharon Keegan 352nd in 57.04, Ian Codling 354th in 57.59 and Bev Davies 363rd in 61.02.

Meanwhile, in the weekly five-kilometre Park Run at Fountains Abbey, four Thirsk club runners were among the 176 finishers.

Bryan Miller finished in 24th place in a fine time of 22 minutes and five seconds, followed by new member Danielle Donohue 81st in 26.35, Claire Gillan 102nd in 27.44 and Sharon Keegan 118th in 29.56.
