ROB BURN was the first Thirsk & Sowerby Harriers runner home in the Ripon 10, the latest Club Championship race. Burn came 49th out of 342 runners and first in the M60 category in one hour 12.59 minutes, with Paul Atkinson 51st in 1:13-23.

Brett Edgeworth was 72nd in 1:17-42, Lorraine Hiles 75th and first F50 in 1:18-00, Alan Harman 109th in 1:24-04, Martin Cummins 115th in 1:24-38, Martyn Coy 118th in 1:24-45, Bryan Miller 132nd in 1:27-17, and Duncan Fothergill 145th in 1:28-40.

Geoff Bullock was 179th in 1:32-15 and just pipped Steve Billings in a sprint for the line. Billings was 180th.

Faith Coy came 247th in 1:40-12, David Goddard 251st in 1:40-58, Christine Burn 285th in 1:46-34, Claire Gillan 292nd in 1:47-15, Ian Codling 333rd in 2:00-06, Jane Cummins 335th in 2:00-35, Bev Davies 341st in 2:07-44 and Marian Codling 342nd in 2:16-12.
