Stephan Tomaszewski was first Thirsk & Sowerby Harriers finisher in a muddy Harewood Ten-mile Trail Race.

Tomaszewski came home in 25th place, clocking 71 minutes five seconds.

Up-and-coming runner Craig Lee was next in 27th spot, timed in 71-12.

Walter Busuttil was 37th in 72-39, Rob Burn 44th in 73-47, Bryan Miller 137th in 86-19, Marc Davies, who is improving with every run, 140th in 86-42.

Carol Morrison had a good run to come home 186th in 92-21, Geoff Bullock was 189th in 92-42, Steve Scott 205th in 94-22, Alan Harman 217th in 95-45, Christine Burn 269th in 108-05, Faith Coy 270th in 108-26, Cath Lumb 288th in 113-37, Claire Gillan, who was struggling with an injury, 289th in 114-41, and Ian Codling 297th in 119-36.

Marian Codling completed the five-mile race in 74-17, with Bev Davies clocking 21-01 in the two-mile race.

Three Harriers members were among the field of 142 for the Guisborough Three Tops Fell Race, taking in Roseberry Topping and the Hanging Stones.

Lorraine Hiles finished 100th in 94-24, Fran Jeffery 135th in 110-53 and Alan Wikeley 139th in 114-03.

Noel Clough took part in the Yorkshire Points cyclo cross event at Thornes Park in Wakefield and was the second M40 section finisher on a fast, dry course.
