ANGLERS have been reminded that pleasure angling at the Marley Pool only, part of the Laybourne Lakes complex, has been prohibited from this week until further notice.

That means no addditional match bookings will be taken for this pool for the same period. This action has been taken on a recommendation from the Environment Agency, following an earlier incident at the venue.

Also, to preserve fish stocks at the Laybourne complex, it has been decided that a one rod/pole only policy is to be enforced.

Anyone caught fishing with two rods or a pole and a rod, will initially be warned and asked to fish with one method only.

Repeat offenders will be subject to disciplinary measures from the York & District Amalgamation of Anglers.
