THE annual York & District Amalgamation of Anglers’ Christmas Cheer match takes centre stage on the River Ouse on Sunday.
The contest will be held on the Donkey Woods, Fulford and Palace Ings stretches of the river, as well as the three Poppleton locations Above, the Moatfield and Sellars’.
The draw for the members’ only match will be made at St Clement’s Working Men’s Club at 8.30am.
The following Sunday, December 2, the amalgamation hold their Animals Hospitals Cup at Donkey Woods, Fulford and Palace Ings.
The draw for that open match will also be made at St Clement’s at 8.30am.
Meanwhile, the Huntington WMC Angling Club match scheduled to be fished at Laybourne Lakes’ Brown’s pool on Saturday, December 1 has been cancelled.
