BARLBY Village Stores angler John Cyrowski was the best North Yorkshire finisher in the York & District Amalgamation of Anglers’ Championship of the Yorkshire Ouse.
Cyrowski finished fifth from peg 104 with a haul of 5lb 6oz.
The winner was Aireborough’s K McLauchian, who scaled 13lb 8oz having been drawn on peg 31, the last peg on Palace Ings.
Runner-up I Bates, of Leeds, was on peg 99 at Killingbeck and included a 6lb 12oz carp in his net of 10lb 12oz.
The amalgamation’s Tower Trophy contest will be held on the Ouse at Donkey Woods, Fulford and Palace Ings on Sunday.
