YORK RI 'A' maintained their unbeaten start to the SLT FM Solutions Ltd York and District Table Tennis League season with a 7-3 victory over club-mates RI 'B'.

In the only division one match to be played this week, Paul Robertson and Filip Wojtkowiak proved too good for RI's 'B' ranks.

Bootham 'B' posted their second win of the division two season but were pushed all the way by a Tim Smith-inspired York RI 'E' before clinching a 6-4 victory with a tight doubles victory.

Mikey Arnold played well to beat Richard Ingleby, who will be better for the game having missed a whole year due to injury.

Shepherds 'B' suffered a 9-1 defeat against their 'A' team, for whom Ian Williams and Pete Harpham contributed maximums, while John Hughes and Mark Blackburn were on top form as York RI 'D' derailed Tramways 9-1.

In division three, Mikey Arnold inspired York RI 'F' to a 7-3 victory over Bootham 'F', for whom Russ Barton, playing up from division four, played well to defeat Dom Ainger.

Shepherds 'C' slumped to a 9-1 defeat to York RI 'G', with Anne Barnard and Peter Smalley in top form, while Howard Lewis led Burnholme 'A' to a solid 7-3 win against BT 'B'.

In the only division four fixture, Bootham 'G' whitewashed York RI 'I' with Paul Seekings earning a man-of-the-match rating on his RI debut.
