Coneysthorpe ‘A’ continue to lead division one of the Northern Powergrid York and District Table Tennis League after a 7-3 win over RI ‘B’.
Aidan Ranftler led Holgate ‘A’ to a narrow win over Coneysthorpe ‘B’, while Filip Wojtkowiak and Rich Crowther saw RI ‘B’ to a 7-3 success over Crescent ‘B’.
In division two, Pat Swindell and Mark Blackburn guided RI ‘E’ to a 9-1 win over RI ‘F’, while Jeff Cohen led RI ‘C’ to a 7-3 win over Shepherds ‘A’.
Bootham ‘C’ whitewashed Shepherds ‘B’, Rich Harrison, Dave Rawlings and Mike Cooper successful.
Division three leaders Shepherds ‘D’ overcame Holgate ‘D’ 8-2 with Paul Kozyra and Gary Neads playing well.
A maximum haul from Matt Roberts helped RI ‘G’ to a draw with BT ‘A’.
A depleted Aviva ‘A’ fought hard before going down narrowly to BT ‘B’, while Richard Collyer didn’t drop a game as he ensured Bootham ‘E’ drew with RI ‘H’.
In division four, RI ‘K’ are still searching for their first point of the season after Shepherds ‘E’ mercilessly thrashed them 10-0, and the winners went top as Thornton-le-Clay were pushed all the way by Aviva ‘B’, Neil Lynch guiding them to a 6-4 win.
New side Trustmarque showed battling qualities to edge out Holgate ‘E’.
