YORK City Baths Club star James Wilby is on course for a hat-trick of final appearances in the pool at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
The 20-year-old Strensall swimmer qualified for the semi-finals of the 50 metres breaststroke this morning, clocking 28.36 seconds to finish fourth behind England team-mate Adam Peaty, who bagged a Games record time of 27 seconds.
Loughborough University student Wilby was ranked 11th after the five heats, putting him into tonight's semi-finals. The final is scheduled for tomorrow night.
Wilby has already reached the finals of his other two events, finishing sixth in the 200m final and seventh in last night's 100m medal race.
