YORK City Baths Club swimmer Emma Wills bagged three medals at the British Gas National Masters and Senior Age Group Short Course Championships in Sheffield.
Wills won gold medals in the 800 metres freestyle and 1,500m freestyle, plus a silver in the 400m freestyle. She also finished sixth in the 200m backstroke and was ninth in the 100m backstroke.
Club-mate Pauline Foot recorded personal best times in all three of her events, finishing seventh in the 200m individual medley, 11th in the 200m freestyle and 15th in the 50m butterfly.
A club spokesman said: “The event produced many British, European and even world records for masters swimmers, showing what a high level of competition the event is. Well done to both swimmers for competing so well in such a strong competition.”
