CHAMPIONS Dunnington have had a mixed start to their Yorkshire Squash League premier division season with two wins and two defeats.
They opened the campaign with a 3-2 defeat against Hallamshire and then beat Heaton 3-2 and IT Sports Wigginton 4-1 before losing 3-2 to Halifax Queens.
Dunnington, who won all 20 of their league matches last season to take the title, are without England international Chris Simpson, who is playing in America, and Laurence Delasaux, who is coaching in Canada until November 7.
The York team, who also field a second team in division two, have added James Haycocks and Chris Tasker-Grindley, from Edgbaston, to their squad, which also includes Dan Busby, Richard Birks, Gareth Lumsden, Danny Hockborn, Nathan Hill, Sam Burton, Alistair England and Matt Stephenson.
