Dunnington kicked off their Yorkshire Squash League premier division campaign with back-to-back wins.

The York side beat Huddersfield Phoenix 5-0 at home following a 3-2 win at Halifax Queens.

New professional Andrew Birks, of Wolverhampton, Chris Simpson and Lawrence Delasaux won 3-0 against Queens, while Nathan Hill and Matt Stephenson lost.

Simpson, Delasaux, Richard Birks, Hill and Stephenson all won 3-0 against Phoenix.

Dunnington’s next outing is at Pontefract.
