WIGGINTON Squash Club launch their Yorkshire Premier League campaign at home tomorrow seeking a fourth elite county crown.
They host Bradford side Heaton, starting from 7.30pm, when the Wigginton aces will strive to get the season off to a flier aginst opposition who finished bottom last season.
Said player/manager Jon Duffield: “The Yorkshire premier is always very competitive and it’s usually the sides that put out the most consistent teams that win the title.”
He added: “We don’t have the budget of the bigger sides but we are confident we can hold our own by putting a team together who can play almost every week.
“We’re hopeful we can ruffle some feathers and cause some upsets along the way.”
