Paul Davison snookered in World Championship attempt

PICKERING potter Paul Davison’s bid to reach the Crucible failed at the first hurdle.
The 40-year-old lost his opening match 10-4 to Li Yan in the second round of the World Championship qualifiers at Sheffield’s World Snooker academy.
Yan subsequently was defeated 10-6 by James Wattana in round three.
