Bootham ‘B’ maintained their unbeaten run in the York Conservative Clubs’ Faber Shield Billiards League with a 5-2 win over Acomb.
Acomb’s Trevor Ventress won the first game but Tim Fillingham and Ian Robinson moved Bootham ahead.
Keith Myers levelled and built a 23 aggregate advantage for Acomb, but Tony Lambert restored Bootham’s lead and Paul Mahoney secured the win with a four-point defeat of Adrian Barraclough.
Heworth beat Fulford 6-1 with Mark Winskill overcoming Richard Stroughair (33, 47 breaks) and Vic Gamble winning before Terry Ward (74) gained Fulford’s sole point.
Gary Rogers (38, 90), Jason Milner and Steve Burdett ensured a comfortable win for Heworth.
Heworth also gained revenge on Bootham ‘A’ with a 6-1 win.
