WORLD billiards champion David Causier is to hold an exhibition at Heworth Conservative Club on Saturday, August 2.
A representative from each of the four York Conservative Clubs will play the Teessider, the current short form top global player who won his title with a 6-1 victory over India’s Alok Kumar in the final at the Northern Snooker Centre, in Leeds, last October.
Richard Lillie, of Acomb, Colin Robinson, from Bootham, Fulford’s Terry Ward and Darren Clark, of Heworth, will play Causier in a night that starts at 7.30pm and aims to raise awareness of the game.
Entry is free and there will also be a free buffet.
Causier is a three time UK professional champion whose highest competitive break is 797.
