Darren Smith wins inaugural Malton Pool Open

THE inaugural Malton Pool Open and £210 first prize was won by Scarborough cueman Darren Smith.
Smith cleared up in two visits to beat Chris Almond in a one-frame decider of the 41-player competition at the Green Man.
The total prize fund was £410 with players turning out from Malton, Pickering, Scarborough, York, Selby and Harrogate.
