Fulford Arms moved away from the basement of the York Spectacular Driveways John Smith’s Sunday Pool League with a win over Dick Turpin 6-3.

A brace of wins from both Pete Roberts and Barry McLaughlin propelled them to victory.

Dringhouses ‘A’ were knocked off top spot as they went down 5-4 to Crystal Palace ‘B’.

Lisa Macdonald scored a double for ’Houses, while Palace’s tally included wins for Gerry Jackson and Kym Done.

Clifton are one-point ahead at the top after a 7-2 victory over Castle Howard Ox, which included double wins for Steve Scott senior, Jonny Mitchell and Ian Baxter.

In a close mid-table encounter Crystal Palace ‘A’ beat visitors Dringhouses ‘B’ 5-4 thanks to a triple win for Glen Bolton.

Dringhouses captain John Patrick won two frames.
