SIX weeks into the new season of the Spectacular Driveways John Smith’s Sunday Pool League, the early pace is being set by Dringhouses ‘A’.
Dringhouses recorded 8-1 wins over Crystal Palace ‘A’ and Mitre ‘B’, including a double win for Alan Horner and Lisa Macdonald, and victory in three frames for Nigel Macdonald.
Clifton are second and their best result so far was a 7-2 win over Fulford Arms, including a seven-ball victory for Jonny Mitchell.
Castle Howard Ox are third after winning four of their five matches.
Crystal Palace ‘B’ beat their ‘A’ side 7-2 to climb to fourth, while Dringhouses ‘B’ are fifth with a game in hand after a 9-0 victory over new team Corner House.
Struggling Fulford Arms claimed their first victory in week four with a 5-4 victory over Mitre ‘B’.
Dick Turpin moved off the bottom with their first win in week six – a 5-4 victory over Mitre ‘B’.
