Mitre ‘A’ retained the York John Smith’s Sunday Pool League title after storming into a 6-0 lead against visitors Crystal Palace ‘B’.
Doubles from Graham Worcester, Dave Catlow and Chris Leaf sealed the crown and they eventually won 6-2.

Ross Done spared Castle Howard Ox ‘B’ from a whitewash at Dringhouses ‘A’ when he took the second frame, but doubles from Graham Pinder, Lisa MacDonald and Nigel MacDonald secured the hosts a 7-1 win.
A Shaun Harrison double helped Shoulder of Mutton into a 5-2 lead at home to York Health Club, whose Rich Kelly completed a double for a final 5-3 scoreline.
Dringhouses ‘B’ fought back from 4-1 down at Castle Howard Ox ‘A’ to draw 4-4 thanks to a double from John Patrick.
