CURTIS Flower saved Mitre ‘B’ from a whitewash at Clifton Hotel in the York John Smith’s Sunday Pool League.
The home side raced into a 5-0 lead with doubles from Steve Scott junior and Jonny Mitchell and they won 7-1.
Crystal Palace ‘A’ went 2-1 down to Dick Turpin before reeling off four straight wins in a 5-3 victory.
Kym Done and Steve Dunning both bagged a brace as Crystal Palace ‘B’ racked up five frames without reply against Fulford Arms and ran out 6-2 winners.
Honours between Dringhouses ‘A’ and ‘B’ went to the ‘A’ team as Nigel MacDonald and Alan Horner took two frames each in a 6-2 win.
Shoulder of Mutton conceded two frames at Castle Howard Ox ‘B’ due to a shortage of players.
Shane Kelly pulled one back for the visitors, but Ox took the next five for a 7-1 win.
