Leaders Mitre ‘A’ whitewashed visiting Dick Turpin 8-0 in the John Smith’s Sunday Pool League.
Graham Worcester included a seven-ball game in his double for Mitre.
Castle Howard Ox ‘A’ took a 3-1 lead at home to Clifton Hotel, only for Glen Mountain to complete a double to put the visitors 4-3 up.
However, Jim Kilmartin responded by winning his second frame of the match to force a draw.
John Crowe took the first and last frames to give Dringhouses ‘B’ a 5-3 win at York Health Club.
The visitors had led 4-1 at one point, but an Adrian Chesterton double brought the game back to 4-3 before Crowe secured the win.
Dave Shepherd produced a clearance from the break while helping himself to a brace of wins as Crystal Palace ‘A’ stormed into a 4-0 lead at Dringhouses ‘A’ .
However, the home side fought back with doubles from Mark Taylor and Nigel MacDonald to snatch a share of the points.
Mitre ‘B’ took a 2-1 lead at Fulford Arms and then lost the next five frames in a 6-2 defeat, Dan Lennox and veteran Gary Bolton recorded doubles for the home side.
Shoulder of Mutton came away from Crystal Palace ‘B’ with a 5-3 win despite having to concede the last two frames. Ian Jones and Shaun Harrison took two frames each.
