YORK’S Chok Dee martial arts academy, which is owned by former Thai-boxing world champion Richard Cadden, has thrown itself into Brazilian jiu-jitsu.

Newly introduced to the academy, the sport drew Cadden, John Webb and Andy Falconer to an event at the Legions club in Batley.

Each of the trio had two fights. Cadden won one and lost the other, while Webb and Falconer suffered a brace of losses.

But Cadden explained the triple debut was a worthy exercise against more seasoned rivals.

Meanwhile, Chok Dee’s upcoming Thai-boxing star Danny Harrison-Little is to fight again in Thailand on July 4.
