A gladiatorial gang of four grabbed all the honours when representing York’s Multi Masters Academy.

The quartet of Tom Woodfin, Adam Wright, Dean Croft and Matt Kendall bagged four out of four triumphs at the Gladiator Fight 1 show in Barnsley.

The reel of mixed martial arts conquests covered the range of fighting status.

Professional Woodfin shook off the disappointment of his defeat at the recent York Cage Confrontation Four bill to pound his opponent to submission and gain the distinction of the MMA securing York’s first pro win.

Both semi-pro’s Wright and Croft also prevailed. Wright, a recent title claimer at the fourth Cage Confrontation event, took his winning run to four bouts, though this one went to a roll arm hold rather than a straight knockout as with his other three wins.

Croft forced his opponent to submission in the second round of his fight thanks to an unbreakable guillotine choke.

And the same move sealed triumph for MMA amateur combatant Kendall in a mere 21 seconds of his scheduled two-round contest.
