LEADING the Legions Thai Boxing Gym by supreme example is co-owner Dave Phillips.
He is to step out of retirement for his first contest in more than four years to compete on the Ring Series IV show at York’s Energise Centre on Saturday, November 16 when he will head a six-strong Legions pack.
Both Phillips and Mike Wood will fight to raise funds for the special baby care unit at York Hospital.
Phillips will be fighting under full Thai rules, which includes the use of elbows. He said: “I’ve been training really hard for eight weeks now.”
